Noreen von Cramon-Taubadel is an evolutionary anthropologist. She is an expert on the evolution of human and primate skeletons, including the cranium or skull.

Von Cramon-Taubadel’s research seeks to understand human origins and primate evolution through the analysis of living primate skeletons and human skeletal variation.

Her work has provided insight into topics such as how humans’ transition to agriculture is reflected in jaw shape, and how cranial variation can be used to understand the history of when and how humans came to populate different parts of the world. In addition, von Cramon-Taubadel is also interested in differences between human and primate skeletons.
